Finnish National Committee of FEM
Purpose
The main goal of the group is to monitor technological development in the field at the international level. Companies with operations related to material handling may join the Group as members. Today the group has 12 members, accounting for over 90% of aggregate turnover in the field in Finland. Our largest members are operators of global importance.
Activities
Exchange of information, experiences and statistics within the Group and membership of the European materials handling organisation, Fédération Européenne de la Manutention - FEM. The group’s activities are divided among FEM product groups: Cranes and Hoists, Conveyors, Trucks, Lifting Equipment and Warehouse Equipment. These groups publish technical literature in the FEM publication series, used e.g. as basis for European standards.
