Purpose

The Construction Equipment Manufacturers Group is the cooperation organ for Federation members in the field of construction machinery, and it aims to promote the business activities of the members and enhance the competitiveness of the industry. The organ’s target is to expand and deepen cooperation between the member companies and ensure that the needs and opinions of Finnish construction equipment manufacturers are duly taken into account.

Activities

The key focus of the Group’s activities is the monitoring and advancement of technological and business development in the field. The Group aims at influencing national and international standardisation and the drafting of directives and other official regulations in the field both directly and through the Committee for European Construction Equipment CECE. The Group provides a forum for discussion and the exchange of experiences, promoting and advancing cooperation between its members in all issues of importance to the companies. The Group maintains close contact with authorities and other interest groups important for the field, such as the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) and Agricultural Technology Research Institute (VAKOLA), for the purpose of advancing progress in the field.
